It looks like I have a tough decision to make with these weavings. How many do I actually have woven?
I knew that I would have to potentially fill five yards so I have made sure that I have just enough money to weave that. But as I was calculating approximately how many yards I actually want woven, it looks like I am going to have at least 8 yards worth of designs, if not more. I just cannot afford that. So the question is which designs to I send to the mill and which ones do I set aside? I have spent so much time this semester on this body of work and I was re
I've been feeling sort of 'blah' lately. I imagine that it is kind of like how having a mid-life crisis must feel.
I'm not motivated to work. In fact, I'm not motivated to do much of anything except question everything that I have done. Ever. The digital weaving situation is figured out! Finally. It turns out that the number on the weave blanket corresponds to a weave structure which corresponds to a color in Photoshop which may or may not be the actual color I want on the piece. So potentially, when I plug in a number, I could get hot pink when I really want green.
I even have a date set for completion: November 25th. The goal is to have all of my designs finished and mailed out. Then, maybe, I can have my pieces back by the end of the semester. Maybe.
